This year the NHBC are running their first ever Best Practice Seminar that will take place on Thursday 27th June 2024. The seminar aims to help prospective site managers on their way to winning an award in the Pride in the Job competition.
A mere 5% of site managers who enter Pride in the Job each year win an award, so it is an impressive achievement, and one that every site manager hopes to receive. The competition is designed to be difficult, but this seminar should give site managers good insight into what it takes to be the best in the business.
The seminar will feature Pride in the Job judges, NHBC’s regional directors, as well as previous winners, who will be sharing their advice and top tips on what it takes to win such a prestigious award.
We are very proud to announce that our very own Nigel Smith has been recognised for his outstanding work and will be featured as a guest speaker at the seminar. Nigel has won numerous awards through the Pride in the Job competition over the years, including Quality Awards, Seals of Excellence, Regional Awards and Supreme Awards.
We are certain that Nigel’s knowledge and experience will prove to be extremely valuable to all site managers in attendance at the seminar. His work epitomises ‘best practice’ and with multiple accolades under his belt, there is much to learn from his dedication to his craft.
As well as hearing from industry experts, those in attendance will have exclusive, first access to the NHBC’s new and updated Best Practice Guides that outline exactly what the judges are looking for at each stage of construction.
